Steering & Suspension
Control arms are the connection point between the vehicle body and the wheel, keeping the vehicle body smooth and level while the wheel moves up and down.
Ball joints are a critical pivot point between the wheels and the suspension of an automobile, connecting the control arm to the steering knuckle.
Sway Bar Link Kits
Sway bar links help to avoid excessive movements during sharp turns and bends. They work by assisting the sway bar in lifting the inner wheel to keep the vehicle balanced as it starts to bend during a turn.
Outer Tie Rod Ends
Tie rod ends make sure the car steers left and right at the same time it is hitting bumps that might cause the wheel to travel up and down. Outer tie rod ends are connected to the steering knuckle that actually turns the front wheels.
Inner Tie Rod Ends
Tie rod ends make sure the car steers left and right at the same time it is hitting bumps that might cause the wheel to travel up and down. Inner tie rod ends are attached to either end of the center link and serve as pivot points for the steering gear.
An idler arm attaches to a frame bracket with a pivot at one end, and connects to the center link through a ball joint on the other. It keeps the center link at its proper height while serving as a steadying support for the whole steering linkage.
The Pitman arm is a linkage that transmits the motion it receives from the steering box into the center link, causing it to move right or left to turn the wheels in the appropriate direction.
Bushings work to reduce vibration, road shock, and noise. FPD carries control arm bushings, strut rod bushings, suspension bushings, and sway bar bushings.
Also known as a drag link, the center link connects to the pitman arm and functions as the connection point between the right and left side steering components.
The strut mount is a component that attaches the suspension strut to the vehicle. It works to insulate the tire noise and vibrations from the vehicle.
Rack & Pinion Bellows
These bellows, or boots, work to prevent dirt and harmful debris from entering the steering rack.
